Antique-style wedding calligraphy

I'm SO happy with how one of my latest projects turned out. I loved everything about it - the antique-style calligraphy script the bride chose for her wedding invitations, the white ink on Kraft paper envelopes, the fact that it was just a big enough order not to make major hand-cramps kick in... perfection. Valentine's calligraphy!

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! I'm not going to have a very exciting day -- just working and going out to a low-key dinner tonight -- but I prefer it this way.

I'm working on a really beautiful color combination (white ink on Kraft envelopes) and script this week for a bride's wedding invitation calligraphy, and that's always fun! Especially with two feet of snow on the ground, I need something to pass the time. Check out this new style!

Calligraphy for a special poem

Another request I've gotten a lot of this season is to calligraph a special poem or quote. This is a great way to commemorate a loved one's favorite verse or even a poem they may have written. Custom calligraphy is the way to go, people!

Below, I did two different options because I couldn't decide between classic and modern lettering. Which do you prefer?

Baby shower calligraphy

I've gotten a lot of custom requests lately for baby shower calligraphy. The below piece is a before (sketch) and after (finished piece) that lets you see my process a little bit. The white ink on dark navy blue paper turned out GREAT! And it was framed in a beautiful rustic wood frame -- perfection!
