Mint + Grey Wedding Calligraphy

LOVE LOVE LOVE this mint + grey wedding suite and the calligraphy I did to match. I made two custom stamps (for return address and the RSVP envelopes) and did all the wedding invitation envelope calligraphy. Love how it turned out!

More scenes from this beautiful wedding I posted about a few days ago...

Food cards and escort cards were done in white ink on red paper with lots of lovely flourishing. Table names were references to local attractions, with hand-painted artwork to accompany each table (artwork done by a guest of the wedding), done in navy on crisp white cards.

I had the pleasure earlier this year of working with a sweet bride for a May wedding, for which she had a major Vision--with a capital V. I worked on pieces that were bigger in size and scope than anything I'd ever done... and I'm so happy to share photos of the wedding and how all my work fit in! I think it was a beautiful, well-executed, wonderfully captured celebration. Photos by the incomparable Jen Fariello Photography, food by marvelous BBQ Exchange Weddings, flowers and wedding coordination by the lovely Mallory Joyce!

The newly married couple danced in front of large fabric panels onto which were hand-lettered calligraphy quotes by the bride's grandmother (lots of historical inspiration here). The large welcome board and bar menu were both taller than me!

New cafe calligraphy menus

SO EXCITED to share this project that I was asked to be part of with BBQ Exchange and Montpelier, the home of James Madison. BBQ Exchange opened a new cafe in the Montpelier visitor's center last week and I got to create all the fabulous menus for the cafe. Photos below! Can't wait to go visit to get some delicious food and see my menu boards in action!
