A contact at the University of Virginia recently commissioned me to inscribe some special invitations with a Jeffersonian-like script. What do you think?

Custom calligraphy dedication

A sweet student of mine contacted me about inscribing a dedication that John Steinbeck wrote for "East of Eden" and I happily obliged (English major/nerd that I am). This passage has special meaning to her and she was very happy with the results... as was I!

Elegant Charlottesville wedding

Hi folks!
So sorry for being silent over here for the last month... things have been busy with a few projects:

1. A new website for Joie de Vivre Calligraphy! Check it out here. I hope you love it! I am super-proud of how it turned out, and I only needed minimal help from outside sources to get it into the shape I wanted!
2. I took a few weeks off work during June/July due to some pretty severe nausea, vomiting, and exhaustion... because I'm growing another human inside of me! It's true, I'm pregnant, due in February 2016. It was wonderful to take a short breather from my work to allow my body to get through the first trimester, and I am not safely in trimester two, and my energy (and appetite) are now back with a vengeance! (Check out the announcement I made on social media about my pregnancy.)

Glam New Year's Eve wedding

New Year's Eve weddings are so chic and glamorous, in my opinion. I was part of creating the calligraphy wedding materials and paper goods for one last year at Castle Hill Cider and it was In. Cred. Ible.

Style Me Pretty feature!

I'm so thrilled to have had my work featured recently on Style Me Pretty. This beautiful organic river shoot was styled by the lovely Meredith Coe (of Meredith Coe Photography) and photographed by Emily Sacco. Love love love everything about this shoot -- the watercolors, the washes of color and organic feel, the setting, the people involved. A dream come true, right here!

I had the honor of designing baby shower invitations for a dear friend a few weeks ago. I incorporated calligraphy and sweet watercolor flowers and I just loved the coral and mint color scheme. Check 'em out!
